Civil Zone was engaged to deliver key civil works for Stage 2 of the Orroroo Heavy Vehicle Bypass. A vital upgrade aimed at improving heavy vehicle access and reducing congestion within the township.

 

Working in partnership with the District Council of Orroroo Carrieton and the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, Civil Zone was responsible for constructing a new intersection and connecting road linking the bypass to RM Williams Way.

 

Scope of works included:

 

• Bulk earthworks and site preparation

• Demolition of existing infrastructure

• Pavement construction and preparation

• Service trenching and utility installations

• Box culvert drainage installation

• Asphalt and spray seal pavements

• Road furniture supply and installation

 

 

This project plays an essential role in improving freight efficiency, enhancing safety, and supporting the long-term infrastructure needs of the region.
